Welcome to Parents Helpline

Parents Helpline is part of Parents Advice Centre (sometimes known simply as PAC) which has, since 1979, provided help and support to parents facing any family difficulty. The Helpline supports thousands of families throughout Northern Ireland each year.

All of the Helpline volunteers are either parents themselves or have substantial experience of working with families and, therefore, understand how stressful it can be to raise children and young people in today's society.

Parents Helpline offers support on all types of family problems. These range from coping with crying babies through to dealing with behaviour problems, bullying, drugs, the effect of separation and divorce, a child's sexuality or abuse. Any family member can call Parents Helpline.

This service is regional and is operated from two branch offices, South & East (based in Belfast) and North & West (based in Derry). There are also six outreach sites across Northern Ireland.
